Description	:	On Feb. 8, 2013, Esther Kamerzel went home to be with her Savior and Lord with her family at her bedside. She was born Sept. 8, 1915, in Park City, the daughter of George and Mary Katherine Benner. She grew up and received her schooling in Park City and attended business school in Billings. They lived in Laurel for a few... Read More	On Feb. 8, 2013, Esther Kamerzel went home to be with her Savior and Lord with her family at her bedside. She was born Sept. 8, 1915, in Park City, the daughter of George and Mary Katherine Benner. She grew up and received her schooling in Park City and attended business school in Billings. She worked at Pierce Packing Co. for three years and, because of an injury there, she found work in Camas, Wash. On July 19, 1945, she was united in marriage to Adolph Kamerzel in Laurel. They lived in Laurel for a few years and then moved to Park City where they lived since. Her husband died March 9, 2003, and she continued to live in Park City until a few years ago when she entered Laurel Health and Rehab. Mom saw many changes in her 97 years. She grew up with horses and buggy, no electricity, saw man walk on the moon and the computer age. Mom loved being in the home on the farm, raising her children. She loved baking and canning, and many were recipients of this labor of love. Gardening, particularly tending her beautiful flower beds, was a favorite pastime. Reading, writing, music, playing piano brought her great joy. What brought the most joy were her granddaughters, Mindy and Gina. They could get Gram to be on board for anything. She had a great sense of humor and a gift of laughter — her philosophy was, "And this too shall pass." She taught her family to always put the Lord in first place in life. Mom leaves us with a rich heritage of unconditional love, forgiveness, laughter, adventure and precious memories. Esther was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and four sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Kamerzel of Park City and Dorothy DeCosse of Park City, formerly of Bozeman; one sister, Ruth Frank of Billings; two grandchildren, Mindy DeCosse of Bozeman, and Gina DeCosse of Tempe, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she dearly loved. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tues., and the funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at the Rock Church in Laurel. Interment will be in Park City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Park City Ambulance and Fire Department or the charity of choice. The family of Esther would like to thank the staff of the Laurel Health and Rehab Center for the special care and love given to their mother.
