Burial was in Harrison Township Cemetery at May City, with Baumgarten Funeral Home of Hartley in charge of arrangements. Esther Fern Imhoff, the daughter of Elmer and Josephine Wehde McClintic, was born August 3, 1908, in rural Sac County. She moved with her family to the Hartley area and attended school throughout eighth grade in the country school near her home. She married Roy Imhoff on March 6. 1928, at Spencer. They made their home at May City where Roy was self-employed as a mechanic and ran his own service station. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church at May City. Esther Imhoff died Sunday, June 23, at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and four brothers. She is survived by one daughter and her husband, Shirley and Dale Adolf of Everly; one son and his wife, Roger and Marian of West Branch; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; one sister, Delma Boetel of Hartley, and one brother.
