Funeral Services will be held 10:30 Monday morning at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello where friends may call from 3 until 7 Sunday. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello. Rev Al Polito will officiate at the services. She was preceded in death by her Parents, her husband Elmer, 2 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 1 great-great-grandchild, a daughter-in-law, Diane, 2 brothers and a an infant sister. Esther Mae Brokaw was born April 30, 1920 in a log cabin near Nevis, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Elmer and Loretta Costley, Brokaw. The family moved to Monticello via a horse dawn wagon later in 1920. Esther received her education in the Monticello Community Schools. Esther M. Brokaw and Elmer Streeper were married September 30, 1938 at Monticello, Iowa. The couple farmed in the Amber and Center Junction, Iowa area. They moved to Monticello in 1972 where Esther worked at the Monticello Senior Home. She retired after 20 years in 1992. Elmer preceded her in death on March 24, 1973. GOETTSCH FUNERAL HOME.
