Read More	Dayton Review August 1, 1946 ESTHER ANDERSON FOUND DEAD THURSDAY EVENING SERVICES HELD HERE SUNDAY AFTERNOON Miss Esther Anderson was found dead in her home on Thursday evening, July 25th by her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Urelius. Her death is believed to have occurred some time Thursday morning from a heart attack, as she had been suffering from a heart ailment for some time. She, with Mr. and Mrs. Urelius had been invited out to dinner on Thursday evening and upon calling for her that evening they found her. Miss Anderson has made her home in Dayton for the past 15 years, having come to Dayton from Des Moines to care for her mother, who passed away in 1937, and since her mother's death had lived alone, enjoying her work among the flowers, of which she had so many. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ruby. She is survived by two brothers, Andrew Anderson of Fort Dodge and Earl of Burnside; and five sisters, Mrs. Clara Urelius of Dayton; Mrs. Josie Stromberg of Fort Dodge; Mrs. Jennie Hulin of Walnut; Mrs. Maye Freed of Burnside; and Mrs. Ethel Flickinger of Denver, Colorado; also six nieces and twelve nephews and other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon from her home with the Rev. S.H. Newman in charge of the services and at the Lutheran church with Rev. C.A. Benander, pastor of the Burnside Lutheran church, officiating. A quartette composed of Mrs. B.I. Lundberg, Mrs. C.T. Jacobson, Mr. Frank Peterson, and Mr. Joe Youngstrom sang two hymns one in English, and the other a Swedish hymn. Pallbearers were six nephews, Glenn and Vincent Urelius, Loyl and Wayne Stromberg, and Dorence and Charles Freed. Burial took place in the Dayton cemetery in the family lot, with both pastors taking part in the service. The Swanson funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Dayton Review August 8, 1946 OBITUARY of Esther Wilhelmina Anderson Esther Wilhelmina Anderson, daughter of Erick and Anna Anderson, was born in Stanhope, Iowa on August 27, 1884. She moved with her parents to Burnside, Iowa where she grew to womanhood. She was confirmed in the Immanuel Lutheran church the spring of 1899 by Rev. Selander. She made her home in Des Moines until 15 years ago when she came to Dayton to be with her mother after the death of her father in the fall of 1931. After her mother passed away in February 1937, Esther's health began to fail, but she still managed her home and her lovely flower garden. She united with the Lutheran church here when she first came to Dayton and took a keen interest in church and community affairs although she couldn't take an active part due to a heart condition. Her sudden departure came on the morning of July 25th. Her death came as a shock although she had suffered other heart attacks previously. Had she lived until August 27th, she would have been 62 years of age. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ruby. he is survived by two brothers, Andrew Anderson of Fort Dodge and Earl of Burnside; and five sisters, Mrs. Clara Urelius of Dayton; Mrs. Josie Stromberg of Fort Dodge; Mrs. Jennie Hulin of Walnut; Mrs. Maye Freed of Burnside; and Mrs. Ethel Flickinger of Denver, Colorado; also six nieces and twelve nephews and other relatives and many friends.
