Read More	Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska, Thursday, September 27, 1984, Page 6, Column 1 Ethel (Peggy) Evans was born January 6, 1909 at Johnstown, Nebraska to John and Lenore Barnes Hoagland and died September 18, 1984 at the Valley County Hospital in Ord, Nebraska at the age of 75. Peggy grew up and went to School in Oakdale. Her family moved to Horace in 1926. In 1927, she was married to Paul Timmons; they had two children, Maxine and Keith. Paul died in 1953. In 1955, Peggy married Tom Evans of Sacramento, CA. In 1964, she returned to Nebraska to spend the rest of her life. The last ten years, Peggy had lived at Parkview Village in Ord. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Maxine Worth of Council Bluffs, IA; two sisters, Amy Schrier of Kennewick, WA and Lenore Whiting of Ord; one brother, John of Hay Springs; three grandsons; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one son, one grandson, one great-grandson, two brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held Friday, September 21, 1984 at 2 pm at the Ord Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Petersen officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery at Scotia.
