She received her education in the Audubon schools. She was married to Frederick R. Aldrich Jan 25, 1921, at Audubon. The couple moved to Monticello in 1923. She served the Monticello schools in a custodial capacity for more than 25 years. Mrs. Aldrich was a member of Monticello Business and Professional Women's club for a number of years, past president of American Legion Auxiliary, past grand of Rebecca lodge and a member of World War I Veterans auxiliary. She is survived by six children: Mrs. Clifford (Dorothy) Howell, Kent, Wash.; Howard, Hinsdale, Ill., Merle, Wyoming; Mrs. Merlin (Theona) Barnes, Davenport; Edward, Anaheim, Calif., and Kenneth, Davenport. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, John J. of Anamosa and Lee Roy, Spokane, Wash.; and three sister, Mrs. Dan Kelly, Audubon; Mrs. Roy Coffee, Galesburg, Ill. and Mrs. Ernie Cuningham, San Mateo, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband July 29, 1966. Casketbearers were Gordon Mass, Larry Barnes, David Barnes, Gene Aldrich and Kit Aldrich.
