They lived in Riverside Township of Mellette County and they had four children. In 1956 the couple moved to Presho and in 1961 to Kimball. She started working in the Chamberlain hospital in 1966 and worked there until 1971, when she was employed by the Sunset Valley Nursing Home in Chamberlain. She worked at the home until September of 1986 when she retired. She was preceded in death by her husband in March 16, 1987, and a daughter, Velma in 1981. Published in the Winner Advocate Newspaper Winner, SD NOTE: Names of living relatives have been taken out of obituary.
