How our heart goes out to father, mother, and little brothers in this sad hour of loneliness and deep grief and yet we would remind them of the assurance of the Universal Father, who gathers the little ones to himself and cares for them in the glory land where the reunion will be blessed and certain. Ethel M. Kiner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Kiner was born Aug. 24th 1897 and in the innocence of babyhood her bright spirit passed home to God Tuesday March 29th 1898 after an illness of only one week. All that medical skill and tender care could do was earnestly done to keep the little treasure, but from the first it seemed unavailing. The immediate cause of her death was congestion of the liver and medical aid could not reach and check it. Yesterday at two o’clock p.m. the funeral service accured at the family on Main street. Rev. J. H. Besore officiating and a large concourse of people followed little Ethel to her temporal resting place in the cemetery. In this hour of desolation at the home of our brother words of sympathy seem idle and yet by the expression we are all brought closer together in common brotherhood and the trials of life lightened.
