Sixth Ave., Emporia, KS 66801 Mrs. Grimwood died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at her home in Emporia. She was 84. She was a secretary for Didde Glaser, Inc., and a travel agent at International Tours. She also was a bookkeeper for Glacier Petroleum and Mark II Lumber. Earlier, she worked at Sears and Roebuck Company. She retired in 2001. The daughter of Craton and Ida Lucile VanVoris Litchfield, she was born Nov. 27, 1923, at Sterling. She attended Roosevelt High School and later, the College of the Ozarks at Clarksville, Ark. She married William C. Grimwood on April 7, 1950, at Emporia. He died in 1964. Mrs. Grimwood was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She is survived by three sons, Charles Lee Grimwood of Emporia, William Kent Grimwood of Fayetteville, Ark., and Jay Alan Grimwood of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Bill Litchfield of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas, and Meredith Litchfield of Manhattan; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A sister, Helen Morris; and a brother, Victor Litchfield, died earlier.
