Pall bearers were Tracy Ekstrand, John Brenton, Murl Rhamy, Jim Timmerman, Russell Brown, and Theron Kernon. Flower bearers were Mr. and Mrs. Billy Haley and Mrs. John Brenton. Instrumental music was by Mrs. Frances Wheeler and interment was in the Quincy Cemetery. Ethel Marie Hoyt daughter of Allison Harvey Hoyt and Mary Ann Devault, was born January 14, 1897 in Cass County, Iowa and passed away July 7, 1959 at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. She was 62 years, 6 months, and 7 days old. On October 5, 1921, she was unite in marriage to Howard Wesley Mitchell of Nodaway, Iowa. To this union were born, five daughters, Mrs. Irene Beck of Red Oak, Miss Lorene Mitchell of Nodaway, Mrs. Hazel Palmer of Malvern, Mrs. Betty McMorran of Shenandoah, and Mrs. Doris Newberg of Atlantic. She is survived by her husband and five daughters, also by 4 grandchildren. She is also survived by six brothers, Roy, Raymond, and Cecil of Villisca; Ralph of Nebraska; Clifford of Clarinda; and Forest of Nevada.
