Description	:	Funeral services for Cecil C. Hoyt were held on Monday, October 5, 1959 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sutphen Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul C. Ellis officiating. Pall bearers were Lester Loghry, Darwin Ankeny, Reuel Fengel, Paul Wasson, I. W. Ankeny, and Fred Miller. Flower bearers were Helen Ankeny and Josephine Ankeny. The vocalist, Mrs. Duane Johnson was accompanied by Mrs. Frances Wheeler and concluding service and interment was in the Villisca Cemetery. Cecil Clarence Hoyt, son of Allison Harvey Hoyt and Mary Ann Devault, was born in Cumberland, Iowa, January 11, 1902 and died in September 30, 1959 in Villisca, Iowa. On December 15, 1931 he was united in marriage to Eunice Cohoon. They made their home in Villisca where they have spent nearly all of their married life. Four children were born to them: Lawrence of Villisca, Maurice in the U. S. Air Force; Karen Schafer and Connie Scanlon, both of Villisca. He is survived by his wife, his four children and four grandchildren. Also surviving are five brothers, Roy and Raymond of Villisca, Clifford of Clarinda, Ralph of Valley, Nebraska, and forrest of Reno, Nevada. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard and Floyd and by one sister, Ethel, also by an infant granddaughter. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. and was Past grand of that order.
