Description	:	Ethel May Utz was born November 26, 1892 in the Larkinburg vicinity and passed away August 2 at a Topeka hospital after an extended illness. She was the daughter of Oscar and Jane Hollenbeck and lived all her life in the Larkinburg community. Ethel was a member of the Larkinburg Christian church. Read More	Ethel May Utz was born November 26, 1892 in the Larkinburg vicinity and passed away August 2 at a Topeka hospital after an extended illness. She was the daughter of Oscar and Jane Hollenbeck and lived all her life in the Larkinburg community. Ethel was a member of the Larkinburg Christian church. On June 30, 1915, she was united in marriage to Curtis Utz. Three children were born to this union: Frances, Corliss and Lois. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Frances, who died in 1919; her son Corliss, who died in 1967; her husband, Curtis who died in 1961; and her sister Ella Leonard, who died in 1977. She is survived by her daughter Lois Conine, Topeka; her daughter-in-law Margaret Utz, Larkinburg; her sister, Pearl Boyles, Denison; four grandsons, Tom Blankenship, Maple Hill; Don Utz, Piqua, Ohio; Kenny Utz, Larkinburg; and Bob Blankenship, Topeka; and eight great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn other relatives and a host of friends. She was a well known housewife in the Arrington and Larkinburg vicinity. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her kindness and thought-fullness to others will always be a cherished memory to her many friends and loved ones. Funeral services were held at the Mercer Funeral Home at 10:30 a. m., Saturday. Burial was a the Larkinburg Cemetery with Rev. Dale Buss officiating. Jim Lemon was the soloist accompanied by Mrs. Ray Wright. Pallbearers were; Ora Moore, Duane Moore, Larry Moore, Bob Bowser, George Brenner, and John Kathrens. Holton Recorder - Monday, August 6, 1979
