Description	:	Mrs. Ethel Wallisch Morford, 74, Holton, died Tuesday, August 16, at Gaithersburg, Maryland, where she was visiting at the home of her niece, Jim and Pat Wallisch Clark. She was born August 3, 1909, at Henryetta, Oklahoma, the daughter of Fred and Bertha Sigg Wanner. She attended Holton Schools and was graduated from Stewart Beauty School in 1939 and spent most of her life in the Holton community. Mrs. Morford owned and operated the Vanity Beauty Salon in Holton. She was born August 3, 1909, at Henryetta, Oklahoma, the daughter of Fred and Bertha Sigg Wanner. She attended Holton Schools and was graduated from Stewart Beauty School in 1939 and spent most of her life in the Holton community. Mrs. Morford owned and operated the Vanity Beauty Salon in Holton. She was a member of St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Business Women Association, VFW Auxiliary, Legion Auxiliary, Holton Hospital Auxiliary, Moose Auxiliary, Friday Club, Chamber of Commerce, St. Ann’s Altar Society, and the Jackson County Historical Society. She was a founding member of the Holton Art Guild and 2-4 Bridge Club. She was married to Carl Wallisch in 1927. He died in 1953. She was married to Alfred Shaw in 1956, he died in 1963. She married Carl Bradley in 1971. He died in 1973. She was married to Milton Morford in 1974. He died in 1977. Survivors include a son, Carl R. Wallisch and his wife, Phyllis Riley Wallisch of Topeka; two sisters, Mrs. Freda Holsapple, Topeka, and Mrs. Elsie Hall, Holton; three granddaughters, Mrs. Denise Sanders, Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Kathryn Klinkenbeard, Topeka, and Kristi Wallisch, Topeka; two great-grandsons, Caleb and Dylan Klinkenbeard; six step children, Sandy Shaw Crimmins, Lincoln, Ne., Mrs. Helen Bradley Askren, Holton, Mrs. Verda Bradley Brosa, Topeka, Mrs Ethel Bradley King, Holton, Jim Bradley, Holton, and Mrs. Judy Ehrmantrout, Pocatello, Id.; 13 step-grandchildren; 5 step great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian burial was held, Friday, August 19, 1983, from St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Holton with Father Carl Dekat, officiating. Rosary was held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery, west of Holton. Organ music was furnished by Mrs. Esther Blough. Casket bearers were Cletus Wichman, Don Morford, Paul Jacobs, George Lierz, Bob Askren and David Kuglin. The flower ladies were Midge Lierz, Dorothy Jacobs, Jeannette Wichman and Georgetta Crummey.
