Her husband, Edward Parry received a telegram Monday from the attending physician calling him to the bedside of his wife and he departed on the first train that evening but his wife expired just before he arrived there. ETTA PARRY 37 Mrs. Etta Parry died at Hot Springs, South Dakota, Tuesday morning, March 29,1910, at about 9:30 o'clock, her age being 37 years, 1 month and 23 days. Her husband, Edward Parry received a telegram Monday from the attending physician calling him to the bedside of his wife and he departed on the first train that evening but his wife expired just before he arrived there. Mrs. Parry had been ill for more than a year and at one time there was hope for her recovery, returning to Hot Springs where she was being treated. About four weeks ago she began to fail rapidly and was again taken to Hot Springs; where treatment could be resumed. Mrs. Parry was born at Niobrara City, February 6, 1874, and with a widowed mother and several children came to Cherry county in June 1883, and has resided near the Niobrara river all her life. She was married to Edward Parry, November 16, 1893, and to this union was born two children; Zina, eight years old, and Edward, three years old. For a number of years she has been a faithful and consistent member of the Presbyterian church in Valentine. Besides her husband and two children she is survived by her mother, four sisters, Mrs. E. M. Sweeney, of Belle Fourche South Dakoka; Mrs. Robert Wilbert, of Ainsworth; Mrs. Harper Cleveland, of Englewood, California; Mrs. Hattie Hudson, of Sparks, and two brothers, John Berry, of Hot Springs, South Dakota, and Charles P. Berry, of Morse, Wyoming. Mrs. Cleveland and the brother Charles were unable to be here. Funeral service was conducted in the Presbyterian church here at 10 o'clock Friday forenoon April 1st by the Rev. J. M. Caldwell and the remains were taken to the Kewanee cemetery for burial by the side of Mrs. Effie Bowers, a twin sister who died several years ago.
