Description	:	Eudora Vanderboom, 87, of Platte, SD passed away Monday, November 11, 2013 at the Platte Care Center. Eudora was born on December 29, 1925 to Edward and Dorothy (Huisman) Determan in Bridgewater, SD. She was a member of Olive Presbyterian Church and a sixty year member of P.E.O. She attended Alexandria High School, graduating in 1943 and then attended South Dakota Beauty School. In 1959 they opened Boom's Drive-In in Platte and eventually in Wagner and Parkston. They operated Boom's until 1990 but both Eudora and Ilo continued working at Boom's. Eudora and Ilo loved Platte and were instrumental in raising money for the renovation of the Community Building and for other projects in Platte. She was an excellent gardener and cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ilo (Feb. 23, 2009); her parents; her sister, Joan; and two brothers, Cleo and Danny.
