Eula was united in marriage to Paul P. Taylor on February 19, 1913 at her home west of Villisca and they moved to the Sciola vicinity. To this union was born three children, Margaret, Neal, and Dorothy Ann. She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Ann and her husband William F. Horton of New Market, granddaughter, Karene Brenton of Blair, Nebraska; and grandsons, Marvin P. Carlson of Lincoln, Nebraska, William A. Horton, Savannah, Missouri; two sisters, Bessie McKee of Villisca, and Verlin Decker of Kahoka, Missouri and one brother Clark Neal, Kohoka, Missouri; seven great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Neal, daughter, Margaret, and two brothers. She had resided all her life in Montgomery County, Iowa. She moved from the Sciola in 1964 to Villisca. In 1972, she moved to the Good Samaritan Center and made it her home until her death. Eula was active in both the Sciola and Villisca churches, neighborhood clubs, and extension work before ill health confined her to the Center. Services were held Wednesday, September 9, 1981, at the Sutphen Funeral Home, Villisca, with the Rev. Dennis Neal officiating. Musical selections of “Sweet Hour Of Prayer” and “In The Garden were played by Mrs. Neal Gray. Mrs. Blanche Taylor was in charge of the memory book and Dot Kehr, and Leola Had were flower bearers. Casket bearers were Marvin Carlson, William A. Horton, Randy T. Horton, Bennett Brenton, Jon Carlson, and Barry Brenton. Interment was in the Villisca Cemetery.
