Description	:	Eunice Eileen Carlson, the daughter of Benjamin and Ethel Spargur Cohoon was born April 23, 1914 in Creston, Iowa. She died on Monday, March 31, 2003 at the Stanton Care Center in Stanton, Iowa at the age of 88 years, 11 months and 9 days. Eunice was raised in Creston and Villisca communities and attended Villisca High School. She was united in marriage to Cecil C. Hoyt on December 15, 1931 in Red Oak; he died on September 30, 1959. She died on Monday, March 31, 2003 at the Stanton Care Center in Stanton, Iowa at the age of 88 years, 11 months and 9 days. Eunice was raised in Creston and Villisca communities and attended Villisca High School. She was united in marriage to Cecil C. Hoyt on December 15, 1931 in Red Oak; he died on September 30, 1959. She was then united in marriage to Floyd "Mac" McFarland on September 21, 1963. She then moved to Red Oak. Floyd died on November 28, 1979. She worked for the Union Carbide Battery Company in Red Oak for 26 years. Eunice was united in marriage to Einar J. Carlson on June 27, 1989 in Red Oak, Einar died on June 8, 1990. Eunice became a resident of Stanton Care Center on June 23, 2002. Eunice was a member of the First Christian Church, Eunice Circle, Faith Rebekah Lodge #174, Eagles Lodge Auxiliary and REAC all in Red Oak. She enjoyed bowling, gardening with her flowers and loved to dance. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, son, Laurence Hoyt; grandson, Gary Hoyt; granddaughter, Marcelene; brother, Everett and sister, Lois. Eunice is survived by two daughters: Connie Sparr of Red Oak, Iowa and Karen Shafer of Ankeny, Iowa; son, Maurice "Moe" Hoyt and his special friend Susan of Red Oak, Iowa; 8 grandchildren: DeAnna, Jan, Larry, Mark, Mike, Terry, Chris and Kevin; 13 great grandchildren: Jennifer, Chris, Jenny, Trevor, Josh, Mellissa, Jake, Sean, Daniell, Mallory, Spencer, P.J. and Sunshine; 2 great great grandchildren; brother, Gilbert Cohoon of Sebring, Florida; other relatives and a host of friends.
