He attended Redfield High School before moving back to the farm near Burdette. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married Eunice M. Ravenscroft at Huron on March 1, 1946. Since that time, he made his home near Burdette where he was engaged in farming. In 1976 he moved to a new home west of St. Lawrence. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign War and Masonic Lodge of Tulare. He is survived by his wife Eunice of St. Lawrence; two sons, Ronald Siegling, St. Lawrence, and Bruce Siegling, Fullerton, California; two daughters, Gail Siegling, Mitchell, and Mary Siegling, Brookings; two grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Siegling, Redfield, and Darrell Siegling, Wessington; two sisters, Mrs. Ross (Edna) Bingham, St. Lawrence, and Mrs. Maurice (Myra) Christian, Wessington. He was preceded in death by his parents.
