Description	:	Eunice Olson, 83, of Council Bluffs, Iowa formerly of Seney, Iowa passed away Monday, November 23, 2009 at the Midlands Living Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Funeral services will 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the Seney United Methodist Church with Reverend Jason Larson officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitations will be after 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2009 at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars with the family present 6:00 p.m. to greet friends followed by a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service. Eunice Mae Erickson was born August 19, 1926 on the family farm near Kingsley, Iowa to Earnest A. and Amelia (Schmidt) Erickson. She attended country school near her home. Eunice was united in marriage to Lawrence Olson on May 17, 1949 at the Seney Methodist Church. Lawrence worked for the rail road and later as a federal track inspector. Eunice and Lawrence were blessed with 2 children, Terry and Gloria. The family had lived in Seney, Worthington, Minnesota, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Crystal Lake, Illinois, Sioux City, Iowa and Council Bluffs. Lawrence died in 1983 while working in North Platte, Nebraska. As a younger woman, Eunice had worked for Sheehan Produce in Le Mars and Campbell Soup Co. in Worthington, Minnesota. Eunice enjoyed being a stay-at-home mother, caring for her family. She also enjoyed fishing, quilting, sewing, and crocheting. Survivors include her children, Terry Olson and his wife Deb of Seney and Gloria Jean Olson of Council Bluffs, Iowa; a grandson, Justin Olson and his fiancée Trista Carter; 2 great grandchildren, Jayden and Jordyn; and her extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest A. and Amelia (Schmidt) Erickson; her husband, Lawrence; 2 brothers, Walter and Raymond Erickson; and 2 sisters, Hulda Costello and Nellie Harms.
