Description	:	Eunice Munson Gilbert, born January 21, 1918, daughter of the late Chauncey and Jennie Bartholomew Munson and beloved wife of the late H. Closson Gilbert, died Thursday, (January 26, 2006) at the MidState Medical Center after a brief illness. She was a loving, independent, Christian woman who lived on her own and served her community, church, friends and family until her last days. Eunice was a descendant of Thomas Munson, one of the founders of the New Havenlony, and the Hall and Bartholomew families, original settlers of Wallingford. Read More	Eunice Munson Gilbert, born January 21, 1918, daughter of the late Chauncey and Jennie Bartholomew Munson and beloved wife of the late H. Closson Gilbert, died Thursday, (January 26, 2006) at the MidState Medical Center after a brief illness. She was a loving, independent, Christian woman who lived on her own and served her community, church, friends and family until her last days. Eunice was a descendant of Thomas Munson, one of the founders of the New Havenlony, and the Hall and Bartholomew families, original settlers of Wallingford. She was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Wallingford, Wallingford Grange, Gaylord Hospital Volunteers, Wallingford Historical Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Thomas Munson Foundation. She held a special place in her heart for Emanual Church in Killingworth, where her late father-in-law, The Reverend George B. Gilbert, was rector. She leaves her daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and James Fulton of Windsor Locks and Roberta and Paul Marianella of Meriden; her grandchildren and spouses: Christopher and Kathleen Fulton, Thomas Fulton, Christopher Shaw, Gilbert and Susan Shaw, MaryAlice and Stephen Goot, Steven and Marjolaine Marianella, Thomas Marianella , Matthew Marianella, Paulann Marianella, Louise Anne and Thomas Porcello; 10 great grandchildren; her brother Ira B. Munson of Wallingford; her sister Lois and Willard Tolles of Huntington Beach, CA; her brother-in-law Charles and Barbara Gilbert of Manchester and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Ralph Munson of Plainville. She also leaves devoted neighbors Frank and Vicki Lipuma. A memorial services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 65 North Main Street, Wallingford. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private. If friends so desire, gifts in her memory may be made to the All Saints Memorial Fund, c/o St. Paul's Episcopal Church 65 North Main St., Wallingford 06492. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 So.
