JOHN FISHER DIES; HAD RESIDED HERE THIRTY YEARS Mrs. John Fisher for thirty years a resident of Villisca, died here Monday, December 23, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jas Goodwin, the death resulting from heart trouble. Eva Hixenbauh, was born at Lafayette, Illinois, October 15, 1863, and was 72 years old at her death. She came to Iowa with her parents when she was a child and was married July 30, 1892 to John Fisher. They lived at Chillicothe, Missouri, twelve years and came from there to Villisca where they continuously until the time of Mrs. Fisher’s death. She was the mother of four sons and one daughter. Two sons, Lee and Elmer Fisher, preceded her in death. The surviving children are Vernon and Arthur Fisher and Mrs. James Goodwin of Villisca. Besides her husband and children, she leaves nine grandchildren and four brothers and one sister. The brothers and sister are, Dan Hixenbaugh, Creston, Iowa; Henry Hixenbaugh, Red Oak, Iowa; Adam and Marion Hixenbaugh, Villisca; and Mrs. Geo. Kunce, Omaha. Mrs. Fisher was a member of the Advent Christian Church. Her body was taken to the Sutphen Funeral Chapel and her funeral was held at the Advent Christian Church on Thursday, December 26, at 2 p.m. conducted by the pastor, Rev. W. S. Bowden. The singing was by Mrs. Dave Penwell, Miss Irma Strait, A. M. Mitchell, and Albert Brown, accompanied by Mrs. C. C. Strait, and pall bearers were Alva Clark, W. Z. Marsh, Lewis Patton, A. M.
