Description	:	Gochanour, Eva Independence Parker 04 July 1857 – 28 March 1919 Eva Independence Parker was born at Bedford Missouri, July 4th, 1857, and died at her home in Anita, Iowa, March 28, 1919, aged sixty-one years, eight months and twenty-four days. When she was five years of age the family removed to Illinois, where she grew up. She was united in marriage to Angus C. Gochanour in September, 1878. Here three children were born to them. Read More	Gochanour, Eva Independence Parker 04 July 1857 – 28 March 1919 Eva Independence Parker was born at Bedford Missouri, July 4th, 1857, and died at her home in Anita, Iowa, March 28, 1919, aged sixty-one years, eight months and twenty-four days. When she was five years of age the family removed to Illinois, where she grew up. She was united in marriage to Angus C. Gochanour in September, 1878. Here three children were born to them. The family moved to Cass county, Iowa, in 1883, residing in Benton Township until they came to Anita to make their home in 1906. Nine children were born into their home, seven of whom, with the husband and father, remain to mourn her departure: May Belle Curry, of Winefrid, Alberta, Canada; Lillie L., who fell asleep at the age of nineteen; Franklin E., of Czar, Alberta, Canada; Ethel L. Blue, of Corrine, Canada; Clarence E., Benny R., Eva Blanche Hayter, Verna H. Jewett, all of Anita, Iowa; and one son dying in infancy. Mrs. Gochanour united with the Methodist Church under her father's ministry when she was twelve years of age, and was for years a member of the Highland Church. She had been an invalid for about a year and a half, during which time she suffered much; her husband also being greviously afflicted, and almost helpless from a broken hip. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Sunday afternoon, Rev. Eban A. Thomas officiating. Interment taking place in Evergreen Cemetery
