Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Boynton were held Thursday, March 2, 1944, at 10:30 a.m., at the Methodist Church in Edgar. Rev. S.W. Longacre was in charge. Interment was made in the Edgar Cemetery. Mrs. Boynton died in the Hastings hospital on February 28, 1944. She was taken to Hastings December10, 1943, following a fall which she sustained at her home at that time. Music was furnished by Mrs. E.J. Eva Jane , daughter of Abraham and Jane Walroth, was born January 30, 1867, in the state of Illinois and passed away at the Mary Lanning Hospital, Hastings, Nebraska, February 28, 1944, at the age of 77 years and 29 days. She came to Nebraska with her parents in 1871 and settled in Clay County. She attended school at the Star School House, also the church services that were held there. It was at these services that she confessed Christ as her Saviour and became a member of the Edgar Methodist Episcopal Church on March 30, 1879.On July 1, 1883, she was united in marriage to Hermon Boynton. Two children were born to this union: Elbridge H. of Angus, Nebraska, and Mrs. Helen Ridgway of Fairfield, Nebraska. In 1903 she joined the Royal Neighbors Lodge and served as the recorder of the Edgar Camp for over 35 years. Mrs. Boynton had lived on the farm east of Edgar for the past 58 years. She is survived by the son and daughter, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, besides other relatives and a host of friends, who will mourn her loss.
