Eva May Churchill, daughter of Walter and Jerraidene Churchill, was born at the farm home of her parents in Chelsea township, Fillmore county, Nebraska, October 18, 1880. She grew up in that home. Read More	FRIDAY, EVA MAY—Mrs. Eva May Friday, a lifelong resident of Fillmore county, passed away at Hastings, Neb., March 23, 1965, aged 84 years, 5 months and 5 days. Eva May Churchill, daughter of Walter and Jerraidene Churchill, was born at the farm home of her parents in Chelsea township, Fillmore county, Nebraska, October 18, 1880. She grew up in that home. She was married to John W. Friday, also of that community, September 24, 1900. In 1912 they moved to Geneva. Mr. and Mrs. Friday were privileged to live together 54 years before Mr. Friday’s death. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Bryant, of Compton, Cal. Other survivors are a granddaughter, Cheryl Lynne, a brother, George A. Churchill of Fairmont, and several nephews and nieces. Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, two sisters, Ella Peterson and Emma Mullikin and two brothers, Albert and Walter A. Churchill. Mrs. Friday was a member of a pioneer family, having grown upon the original homestead owned by her husband. Thoughtfulness for others was one of her outstanding characteristics. She was a devoted wife and mother and her family will always remember her devotion, especially to her parents. Mrs. Friday became identified with the Chelsea church as a member in her youth and later became a member of the Geneva Methodist church, continuing her membership the remainder of her life. Funeral services were held at the Kritner-Farmer funeral home in Geneva at 2 p. m. Thursday, March 25. Dr. E. E. Jackman officiated. Mrs. H. A. Rosenau sang “In the Garden” and “How Great Thou Art,” accompanied by Mrs. Melvin Olson. Pallbearers were Earl Ackland, Elmer Churchill, Melvin Churchill, Darrel Fessler, John Nun and Raymond Peterson. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal 1 April 1965 page 9.
