Mrs. Carlgren was the former Eva Ott, daughter of a well-known pioneer family of Cloud county. Her father, the late Augustus Ott, served as register of deeds in this county from 1906 to 1914 and the family was well known. Read More	OBITUARY - GLASCO SUN - GLASCO, KS - NOVEMBER 23, 1939 - Mrs. Walter Carlgren died from a heart attack Sunday evening at her home in Concordia. Mrs. Carlgren was the former Eva Ott, daughter of a well-known pioneer family of Cloud county. Her father, the late Augustus Ott, served as register of deeds in this county from 1906 to 1914 and the family was well known. Mrs. Carlgren was born April 20, 1889 at Glasco the daughter of Augustus and Lucy Ott. She was graduated from Concordia high school in 1910 and on August 12, 1914 was married to Walter K. Carlgren of Concordia. Mrs. Carlgren was admired for her musical talent of which she gave generously in all community affairs, for her friendly and hospitable nature which won her many friends. She was a member of the United Brethren church and an active and tireless worker in all church affairs. Interested in civic and community progress, she was also active in club work in Concordia and in the rural community where she had spent all her married life. The mother of two sons, she was above all else, interested in her home and devoted to the welfare of her family. Mr. and Mrs. Carlgren had begun construction of a new home at their farm north of Concordia a month ago and the house in which Mrs. Carlgren had seen the realization of much cherished dream for her family was nearing completion. Mrs. Carlgren is survived by her husband; two sons, C. Clinton of Kansas City, MO and Robert of home; two sisters, Mrs. J.H. James of Portland, OR and Mrs. Mattie Hart of Concordia; and two brothers, Homer Ott of Kansas City, MO and Roy H. Ott of White Plains, NJ. Funeral services were held at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the United Brethren church, and burial was made at Glasco. Mrs. Carlgren was a neice of Mrs. Martin Butler, Sr., Mrs. John Harper, Sr, and Mr. Ed Ott. ---
