Description	:	Funeral services for Eveline Mable "Polly" Wetherelt Burley, 99, longtime Broadus resident, were held Monday afternoon, July 17, 2006, in the Broadus First Baptist Church. Interment followed in the Valley View Cemetery in Broadus. She died Friday July 14, 2006, at the Powder River Manor in Broadus. Born June 15, 1907, in Norden, Neb., she was the daughter of Orvil and Minnie Hayford. On June 27, 1924, she and Ira D. Burley were married. He preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1966. Born June 15, 1907, in Norden, Neb., she was the daughter of Orvil and Minnie Hayford. On June 27, 1924, she and Ira D. Burley were married. He preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1966. She had many jobs including working at the county courthouse, mining and caring for others, all while raising her children. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, crafts and visiting with her many friends. A member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, she also belonged to the First Baptist Church in Broadus. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Eathel and John Zuehlsdorff of Rock Springs, Wyo.; one sister, Rachel Hayford Swartz, and one brother, Jay Hayford; 17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and many special great-great-grandchildren and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sons, Darrell, Gerald and Areld Burley; two daughters, Elaine McAfee and Helen Wilson; six brothers; four sisters; and one grandchild. Bullis-Graves Memorial Chapel of Miles City was entrusted with the funeral arrangements. The family requests that memorials be sent to the Powder River Manor where she spent her later years in their wonderful care.
