Authorities, who were summoned, held no inquest was necessary. Mrs. Ryan had been in ill health for some time. Mrs. John Ryan was born in Creighton, March 1, 1900 and lived here most of her life. She graduated from Saint Ludger Academy in 1927 and during the following year, she attended the VanSant Business College in Omaha. Following her graduation, she worked for the Bennett Allison Oil Burner Company in Omaha for four years. On June 27, 1932 she was married to John Ryan and the couple has lived here continuously since. Mrs. Ryan is survived by her husband, John Ryan; a daughter, Mary Jo, her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. John Darcy Jr. of Creighton; a sister, Helen of Omaha; one brother, Edwin with the United States Air Service in Panama and one half brother, Paul, of Creighton. The funeral was held at St. Ludger Church Tuesday morning, the sermon being preached by the pastor, Rev. Father Windolph. burial was in St. Ludger cemetery. Casketbearers were Ivan Copeland, Fred Dostal, Tom Kennedy, Marvin Kile, Raymond Van Overschelde and Charles Wagner. ...The Creighton News 11 July 1941
