Evelyn was born July 7, 1928 to Erna (Teufert) and Arthur Brauer at their home in the Sidney - South Divide community. She was a life long member of Trinity Lutheran Church – South Divide where she was involved with L.W.M.L. and held many offices within the organization. Eveyln attended Sidney Public Schools graduating in 1945, followed by a teller job at American National Bank and a secretary position at the Nels Johnson Brokerage. On November 14, 1948, she married Paul Narjes at Trinity Lutheran Church and resided at their South Divide family farm until 1982 when they moved to Sidney. Over the years, she enjoyed family gatherings, playing cards, gardening and always being a hostess to anyone visiting her home. Survivors include her husband, Paul Narjes of Sidney; one son, Gary Narjes and wife Susan of Sidney; three daughters: Kathy and husband Larry Decker of Apple Valley, CA; Linda and husband Lyle (Skip) Vigen of Bemidji , MN; and Rita and husband Doug Hart of Sidney. Grandchildren include: Kyle, Ryan and Tyson Narjes, Kevin Decker, Kendra and husband Terry Meyer, Don and wife Paula Vigen, Heidi and husband Kris Seitz, Allyson and Taylor Hart and step grandchildren Dan and Amanda Hart along with 5 great grandchildren and one step-great grandchild. Other survivors include sister and brother-in-law; Gladys and Al Narjes and aunt; Genevieve Brauer all of Sidney along with many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.
