Description	:	Evelyn Almberg, 92, died Saturday, July 8, 2006 at Sioux Valley Care Center in Vermillion. She was born May 19, 1914, the daughter of Esra and Hazel (Brown) Stiegelmeyer at Vermillion. Evelyn graduated from Vermillion High School in 1932. She attended Iowa Normal School and taught in country schools. She traveled to Torrington, WY, in 1935, where she married Walter A. Almberg on Oct. 22 of that year. They moved back to Vermillion where to this union two sons were born, Bob and Ron. Evelyn graduated from Vermillion High School in 1932. She attended Iowa Normal School and taught in country schools. She traveled to Torrington, WY, in 1935, where she married Walter A. Almberg on Oct. 22 of that year. They moved back to Vermillion where to this union two sons were born, Bob and Ron. They moved to Washington state in 1952, where Evelyn was a billing clerk for the city of Seattle. They returned to Vermillion in 1995, to be, as she said, home with family. Walter died in Sept. 28, 1998. Evelyn is survived by her two sons, Bob and wife Debbie, of Portsmouth, OH; Ron and wife Loretta of Vancouver, WA; brother, Dallas and wife Darlene Stiegelmeyer of Gig Harbor, WA; sister, Carol, and husband Bill Patschetag of Satchse, TX; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Walter, her parents, Ezra and Hazel Stiegelmeyer, one brother Melvin Stiegelmeyer, and a sister Frances Olson. Burial at Bluff View Cemetery. Iverson-Siecke Funeral Home, Vermillion, was in charge of arrangements. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cornerstone Church in Vermillion. Burial will be in Bluff View Cemetery, Vermillion. Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Iverson-Siecke Funeral Home in Vermillion.
