Fisher was born July 13, 1914, five miles north of Villisca, daughter of C. Earl and Lenora Holdren Fisher. She passed away December 21, 1982, at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital, Council Bluffs, Iowa, at the age of 68 years after a brief illness. She lived in Connecticut for two years when she was a child, and the rest of her life was spent in the Villisca Area. She graduated from Villisca High School and taught country school for three years in Page County, Iowa. On March 21, 1936, she was married to Dale R. King and moved to a farm in Page County. She worked at Mental Health Institute in Clarinda for six and one half years and at Siery’s Cafe for two years. Mr. King died in 1970 and she moved to Villisca in 1972. On March 18, 1973, she married Ralph Arnott, who preceded her in death. Survivors include her children; Mrs. Bill (Dorothy) Dumler of Villisca and William E. Wright of Albany, Missouri; twelve grandchildren, Paul, Dianne, Robert, and Penny Dumler of Villisca; Debra Bozwell of Red Oak; Dale Albrecht, Jacksonville, Florida; Cassandra Albrecht, Denver, Colorado; Michelle, Billie, and Mary Wright of Albany, Missouri; and Eddie and Kathy of Omaha; five great grandchildren; a brother Raymond Fisher of Jackson, Wyoming and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church, Villisca, Iowa, on Thursday, December 23, 1982, with the Rev. Michael Roys officiating. Maria Nelson was soloist and Judy Havick accompanied on the organ. Norma Frey was at the register. Flower bearers were Jean Mauderly and Arlene King. Ushers were Francis Frey and Kermit England. Casket bearers were Lyle Frey, Bob Frey, Curtis Frey, Fred Scholey, Steve Stein, and Steven Eason. Final resting place was the Villisca Cemetery, Villisca, Iowa.
