Evelyn was born August 7, 1932 in Topeka, KS to Ralph Clayton and Frances Barbara (Schifelbein) Cox. She was a florist and worked at Bakers Florist for 15 years and a supervising judge with the Johnson County Election Board for 30 years. Evelyn was a member of the Merriam Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon E. "Mort" Schneider on August 8, 2005, sister, Dolores Hirschberg and brother, Clayton F. "Sonny" Cox. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara "Bobbie" and her husband, Larry Reid and Jody and her husband, Brian Burns, Lenexa, KS; son, Jeff and his wife, Julie Schneider, Leonardtown, MD; two sisters, Loretta Perz, Los Angeles, CA and Georgia Dvorak, Merritt Island, Fl; brother, Wayne Cox, Topeka, KS; ten grandchildren, Reid: Samuel, Caleb, Joseph, Micah, Rebekah, Burns: Sabrie and Ryan, Schneider: Jake, Jennifer and Jared.
