Services will be held today (Thursday), at 10:30 a.m., at the Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Island, with the Reverend Charles Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the Nelson Cemetery, Nelson, Neb. She was born July 24, 1918, to Irvin and Isa (Harris) McCutchan at Nelson. She attended District 27 school in Nuckolls County and graduated from Nelson High School in 1936. She was united in marriage to Joe E. Luth on June 13, 1942, in Nelson. Burial will be in the Nelson Cemetery, Nelson, Neb. She was born July 24, 1918, to Irvin and Isa (Harris) McCutchan at Nelson. She attended District 27 school in Nuckolls County and graduated from Nelson High School in 1936. She was united in marriage to Joe E. Luth on June 13, 1942, in Nelson. They made their home in Sioux City, Iowa, Atkinson and Chadron. They managed a motel in Chadron for three years prior to moving to Grand Island in 1951 where they managed Pine Crest Lodge. Mrs. Luth worked at Color Craft Plastics and at the admissions gate for Fonner Park. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, Nelson, a 4-H leader, a member of an extension club and was involved with the Westlawn PTA. Mrs. Luth was an avid gardener and loved to sew. Survivors include two brothers, Robert A. McCutchan, Nelson and Duane L. McCutchan, Kingsburg, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983 and her daughter, Jolyn R. Walker, in 1998 and an infant brother. Superior Express February 22, 2001
