She was united in marriage with Emmit McDowell, on Dec 12, 1922, who, with their little son, Donald, her parents and brother Walter, survive her. While never strong, her friends were hopeful that she would recover, but it was not to be and she fell asleep, free from suffering and pain. While a young girl she gave her heart to God and united with the Congregational Church under the pastorate of Rev. Gray. Our Sympathy goes out to the loved ones, who feel the irreparable loss; but they have the consolation that all is well with her -- Safe in the Arms of Jesus. The funeral service was held at the home of her parents, on Monday at 1:30 pm. conducted by Rev. C. T. Halbert, pastor of the church where she had been a member since her girlhood. The large number of relatives and friends who came to mourn with the bereaved family speak of the esteem in which she was held. Out-of-town relatives were Mrs. George Watts and son Robert of Yates Center, KS; Mr. & Mrs. Z. S. Ratliff and family of Mt. Pleasant by Carlyle & Averil Mosher Merritt FAG # 47186557
