Born Aug. 9, 1909, at Salem, he was the son of Linn W. & Clara Mosher Barton. On Aug. 9, 1934, at Mount Pleasant, he married Fern Brown who preceded him in death July 20, 1993. He was a farmer in the Salem community before retiring. He was a member of the Salem Congregational Church. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, one son, two sisters and one brother. Friends may call at their convenience beginning at noon today, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at Beatty Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. The funeral for Mr. Barton will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday March 1st at Salem Congregational Church. with the Rev. Dave Legge officiating. Burial will be in the Salem South Cemetery.
