Description	:	Evenell "Jean" Fasse, 73, of Denver died peacefully in the arms of her Savior on Monday, November 4, 2002, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo of Natural causes. Jean was born on October 16, 1929, in Waterloo, the daughter of Roscoe Lester Beard and Selman Esther (Nelson) Bear. She was baptized in her parent's home on March 1, 1930. Jean was born on October 16, 1929, in Waterloo, the daughter of Roscoe Lester Beard and Selman Esther (Nelson) Bear. She was baptized in her parent's home on March 1, 1930. Jean was later confirmed on April 2, 1944, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo. She graduated from Frederika High School in 1948. On October 16, 1949, she was united in marriage to Virgil J. Fasse at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo. The couple remained in Waterloo for a short time where Jean worked in the cafeteria at Rath Packing. Jean and Virgil then farmed in Bremer County area for eight years. In 1959, they moved to Denver and have lived there since. Over these years, Jean raised her family and provided care for the children of a neighbor family. Jean was a longtime member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Denver where she participated in various circles, altar guild, and helped with confirmation classes. She was also a charter member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Janesville. Jean was an avid square dancer, belonging to the Denver Stardusters with Virgil. She loved gardening, sewing, reading and cooking, but most important, was the time she spent with her family. Jean was the dear wife of 53 years to Virgil Fasse of Denver: loving mother of three daughters, Connie Wedemeier and her spouse, Larry, of Oran, Karen Sergeant and her husband Todd, of Knightdale, North Carolina, and Denise Fasse-Beasley of Des Moines; cherished grandmother of five grandchildren, Lyn Wedemeier and his spouse, Chris, of Waver, Rod Wedemeier of Syracuse, Nebraska, Cory Wedemeier of Ames, Shannon Sergeant of Knightdale, North Carolina, and James Beasley of Des Moines: very special great grandmother of three great grandchildren, Autumn and Owen Wedemeier and Shawn Sergeant; and loving sister of Lucille Rosauer and her husband, James Rosauer and her husband, James of Waterloo. She was preceded in death by her parents; a stillborn daughter, Diane in 1950; and two brothers, Donald Beard and Keith Beard in infancy. Celebration of Life services were held on Thursday, November 7, 2002 at 10:30 a.m at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denver. Burial was held in the St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Denver. Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorial may be directed to the family.
