He is also survived by two daughter, Mrs. Bob (Kathi) Curtis of Vancouver, Washington, and Sherry Abbott of Sacramento, California; three grandchildren, a great-grandchild, and her brothers and sisters, Mrs. Delbert (Lola) Barrett of Fremont, Nebraska, Martin and his wife Lorraine Abbott of Nebraska City, Nebraska, Darold and his wife Janice of Elmwood, Wanda Barrett of Nebraska City, Nebraska, Tom and his wife Mary Lou Abbott of Las Vegas, Nevada, Vernus Abbott of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, and Larry Abbott of Union. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Guy and Carol Abbott. He lived in the Nebraska City community all his life, where he worked for the Nebraska City Utilities. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Eagles Lodge, and American Legion Post No. 8He served with the United States Air Force and the U. S. Navy.
