Description	:	E. E. "Ky" Adams, age 89, of rural Hazel, SD, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown, SD. Funeral services were Saturday, April 21, 2007 at the Wight, Comes & Sogn Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ross Youman officiating. Music was furnished by Darrel Crocker. Interment at the Hazel Cemetery, Hazel, SD. Honorary Pallbearers were all of Ky's grandchildren. Ezra Elihue Adams, son of Harold and Helen (Rund) Adams was born on October 5, 1917 on the family farm near Hazel, South Dakota. He attended country grade school and graduated from Hazel High School in 1937. On October 24, 1941 he married Ruth A. Stauffacher at Watertown, SD. Ky worked at Sash and Door in Watertown prior to starting his own farm. He owned one of the first corn pickers in the area and has done custom work for his neighbors. Ky was a farmer and rancher but his passion was horses and training them. He enjoyed participating in horse shows and working with his "horse kids". He was a Horse 4-H Leader, High School Rodeo Coach, enjoyed deer hunting in the Black Hills and having coffee with his friends. Ky was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ruth; and one brother, William. He is survived by three daughters, Kay (Richard) Kettwig of Minnetrista, MN, Jo (Ken) Struckman of Hazel, SD and Patti Owens of Watertown, SD; one sister, Blanche Wolf of Estelline, SD; three half-sisters, Hally (Nels) Jensen of Lincoln, NE, Caroline Smith of Hardin, MT, and Margaret Ingram of Sumner, WA; one half-brother, Harold Adams of Las Vegas, NV; seven grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In memory of Scott provided parents links. 6-24-2015
