Bill Lacox, Glea Lacox, Dale Stroud, Jimmie Barker, Teddie Peterson, and Clayton Gay were pall bearers. Flower bearers were Maxine Peterson, Elsie Stroud, and Pearl Hess. Music was by Merle Hays and Wilma Freshour, accompanied by Mary Else. Fairth Mason Misner, daughter of James and Mary Elwell Mason, was born August 23, 1889 near Nodaway, Iowa, in Adams County, Iowa. She passed away July 13, 1969 at the Shady Lawn Rest Home in Villisca at the age of 79 years and 11 months. In 1910 she homesteaded in the Judith Basin Area in Montana. there she met her husband Clayton Misner and they were married November 4, 1911 in Lewiston, Montana. To this union four children were born, Donna Mary, living at home at Nodaway, John Dale of Fort Worth, Texas, Robert Elwell of Belmont, Iowa, Grace Elizabeth Becker of Belmont, California. After living in Montana, the family resided in Hutley, South Dakota for 17 years. From there they moved to Lake View, Iowa. In 1959 the family moved to Nodaway. Others surviving besides her husband and four children are 11 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mrs. Albert Lacox of Nodaway, Mrs. William Barker, and Mrs. Clarence Gile, both of Corning. She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers, and 2 sisters. Mrs. Misner was a member of the Methodist Church and Rebekah Lodge and Royal Neighbors of America.
