Description	:	MAPLE F. LACOX Maple Forrest Lacox was born April 7, 1883 one of eleven children born to James and Mary Elwell Mason, early pioneer settlers. She passed away on Friday, February 28, 1975 in the Good Samaritan Center in Villisca, Iowa, where she had lived for the last four months at the age of 91 years, 10 months and 21 days. She was united in marriage to Albert E. Lacox on Oct. 21, 1903. Louisiana, Paul of Boonville, Iowa, Edna. Mrs. Bryan Goodvin of Corning. They spent their entire married life farming in the vicinity of Nodaway. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, in 1934: « son. Wayne, who gave his life for his country in 1944; one grand daughter and two grandsons. She was long time member on the Nodaway Methodist Church. She is survived by her eight children, 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who will remember her kind and pleasant association. Her greatest enjoyment of her family and in working in her garden and yard. Funeral services were held March 2, 1975 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Nodaway with Rev. Eldon Haworth in charge. Burial was made in the Methodist Grove Cemetery. Adams County Free Press, March 6, 1975
