Read More	DIED: Wednesday morning, August 3, 1892, at 8 o'clock, Fannie A Jackson, wife of George W. Jackson, aged 39 years. The maiden name of the deceased was Fannie S. Savage. She was joined in marriage to George W. Jackson at Winnebago, Ill., March 31, 1872, and came to their present home in Madison township in the spring of 1877. Although she had been suffering for some time in consequence of a severe attack of jaundice, yet the family and friends still hoped for her ultimate recovery, when she was suddenly seized with hemorrhage of the bowels, under which she speedily sank and passed away. Just before the sad and closing scene, surrounded by her family, she bade them a last farewell and her gentle spirit took its flight for the beautiful world beyond. Mrs. Jackson possessed those amiable qualities of mind and heart that attached to her a wide circle of friends, whose hearts are riven with grief by her untimely death. With a great and loving heart, she cheerfully discharged her duties as an affectionate wife and a fond and tender mother, always ready to assist the suffering and distressed. She was conscious to the last, and just before the end she signified by words that she saw a star and heard singing. After death a beautiful smile rested on her face. She has left a husband and three children, one son and two daughters to mourn her loss; but the impress of her virtues will live with them and the fruits of her teachings and example will help to prepare them for the trials of life, and, as the chain that binds them together shall link by link be severed, it is the wish of the writer that they may be a re-united family in the sun-bright clime where sorrow, pain and tears shall never come, and as the countless ages roll on , shall sing praises to God and the Lamb forever. The funeral exercises took place on the following Friday at 11 o'clock a.m., and were conducted by Rev. A.A. Cressman assisted by Rev. A.F. Ashley. The floral decorations were profuse and beautiful and the attendance was very large. After the services were concluded, the body was borne to the Fairmont cemetery, accompanied by an unusual number of friends and neighbors, where the last sad rites were performed and the remains deposited in the grave.
