Description	:	Mrs. Henry Oetken, 91, Akron, died Saturday at the Akron hospital after a long illness. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday at the Baptist church with Rev. Richard Milne officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery under direction of the Schroeder Funeral Home. A prayer service was held at 8 p.m. Sunday. The former Fannie Bohms, she was born Dec. 29, 1876, in Germany. Survivors are a son, Mervin, Akron; a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Wachtmann, Madera, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Hilka Huls, Le Mars.seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Fannie Bohms Oetken was born, in Caralinsiel, Germany on December 29, 1876. She came the United' States at the are 16. April 27, 1897, she was united in marriage with Henry Oetken at Alton, Ill. They lived on a farm east of Akron for. number of years, then moved to Akron about fifty years ago. Mr. Oetken died In 1920, and Mrs. Oetken maintained her home in Akron until July of last year when she entered the Akron Nursing Home. Mrs. Oetken was a long-time, member of the First Baptist Church in Akron. She was kind and helpful neighbor and her jovial nature endeared to the people of Akron. Survivors Include her son Mervin, of Akron; a daughter Mrs. Arthur Wachtmann, of Madera, Calif. a sister, Mrs. Hillka Huls, of Le Mars; seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Oetken. were held in Akron on Monday afternoon of this week at the First Baptist Church in Akron with Rev. Richard Milne officiating Vocal soloist was Mrs. Hugh Swift, who sang the selection "Each Step I Take" and "I'd Rather Have Jesus" accompanied by a the organ by Stan Swanson. casket bearers were Henry Becker Peter Huls, Hugh White, Alfred Bohms, John Huls and John Ahrendson.
