Read More	Columbia City Commercial - Whitley County, Indiana Friday July 28, 1911 Mrs. Fannie Marrs, one of the best known women of Troy township died Saturday morning at eight o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Knox of Pierceton, after an illness of but two days, death resulting from a complication of diseases. The deceased apparently in the best of health left for a two weeks visit with her daughter and late Thursday night she was taken suddenly ill. Mrs. Marrs had been ailing for some time but regardless of this fact her condition was not considered dangerous by her children and aside from feeling bad at times she looked to be in the best of health. The deceased was born in Delaware county, Ohio, November 1st 1829. She came to Whitley county with her parents and at the age of twenty-one years she was united in marriage to John Marrs who preceded her in death some thirty years ago. Shortly after their marriage they purchased a farm in Troy township where she had continued to make her home ever since. To this union there was born seven children five of whom survive, they being Warren and Alva Marrs of Troy township; Frank Marrs and Mrs. Henry Brenneman of Mead Kansas, and Mrs. George Knox of Pierceton at whose home her death occurred. Besides the above she leaves two sisters, Mrs. Scott Barber and Miss Martha Goodrich of Larwill and two brothers, Silas Goodrich of Loon Lake and Sandford Goodrich of Richland, Wyoming. The remains will be brought back to the old homestead. The funeral arrangements will be announced later. The deceased was a member of the Troy M. E. church, and had lived a devoted christian life. Her age was 81 years, 8 months, 21 days.
