FANNIE BROWN DEAD. Word was received here by Nemuel Brown of the death of his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Fannie Brown, in Olathe on Saturday. Mrs. Brown had been sick for about three weeks with typhoid malaria. She will be remembered by a great many Emporia friends, having lived here all her life until about two years ago, when she moved to Olathe. Mrs. Brown was formerly Miss Fannie Salser. She was married four years ago to Winifred Brown, who died two years ago. She was a member, while here, of the Grace Methodist Church. Mrs. Brown leaves her mother, Mrs. Salser, and one sister, Mrs. Bessie Snyder of Olathe; and one brother, Roy Salser, of Texas. ************************************* Gazette - 31 Oct 1912 THE BROWN FUNERAL. The funeral of Mrs. Fannie Brown, who died Saturday in Olathe, was held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Grace Methodist Church, and interment was in Maplewood Cemetery. The body arrived in Emporia on Santa Fe Train No. 112 and was taken directly to the church, where the services were conducted by the pastor of the First Methodist Church, of Olathe, assisted by the Rev. J. B. Mackenzie, of the Grace Church. Music was furnished by a choir consisting of Miss Thomas, Mrs. Irvin, Joe Hammond and J. R. Patterson. The pallbearers were Louis Lewis, David Ferrebee, Tom Roberts, M. M. Snow, Clifford Jones and Mr. Brown, of Madison.
