Description	:	Fanny is the daughter of Jacob Weaver and his first wife Susannah Ingleright, of Buchanan township, Berrien County Michigan. --- Fanny was "possibly" named after her father's mother. --- Note: Fanny's older sister Catherine (Weaver) McCoy, is also buried in this cemetery. --- Fanny's mother Susannah (Ingleright) Weaver was also buried in this cemetery. Smith, age 3. ------------------------ Charles served in the Civil War, in Co. C, 12th Michigan Infantry, as did Aaron Miller, who was the husband of Fanny's sister Mary Elizabeth Weaver. Charles Smith was born in 1834, and he died in 1868. He is buried in the Oak Ridge Cemetery (Section 5, Lot 3). --- Charles and Fanny had a son named Philo Smith who was born about 1855-1856, in Michigan, and died on Oct. 26, 1874, in Buchanan, Berrien County Michigan as a single young man, at the age of 19 years, 1 month, and 10 days. (But the 1860 census lists him as 3 years of age(?). The burial site for Philo Smith cannot be located. (Could he have been buried in this cemetery near his mother Fanny, or in the Oak Ridge Cemetery near his father Charles Smith?) ------------------------------- Her broken headstone reads: [FANNY] [Wife of] [CHARLES SMITH] [DIED] Oct. 23, 1864 In The 25th Year of her age. ----------------------------- Headstone photos, courtesy of Robert D.
