Read More	PINCHER CREEK ECHO Faye Marie TRODDEN August 30, 2010 TRODDEN, Faye Marie - Faye Marie Trodden passed away peacefully at the Pincher Creek Hospital August 30, 2010 after suffering a stroke on August 24th. She was the last of the six children of Robert and Ethel Trodden to pass away. Faye was born in Fort Macleod and was raised west of Granum in the Porcupine Hills and attended Olsen Creek School. She went to High School in Pincher Creek and left shortly after to go to Normal School in Calgary to become a teacher. Her first teaching position was Grades 3 & 4 in Acme followed by a time in the Peace River District in Brownvale and Grimshaw. She returned to teach at Summerview School before she started teaching at the Sacred Heart Residential School in Brocket. Faye moved into Pincher Creek to teach at St. Michael's Catholic School. In spite of illness with rheumatoid arthritis, Faye managed to upgrade her certification and continue teaching until she was able to retire. Faye always enjoyed her many friends and took several trips with them to places like Europe, Hawaii, Alaska, the Maritimes and a cruise in the Caribbean. She went to visit family and friends from British Columbia to Ontario over the years and was always ready to share her many memories of her adventures. She was predeceased by her parents in 1957, her brother Tommy in 1961, sister Joy (Hugh) Cameron in 1995, brothers Jim (Beryl) in 1996 and Eldon (Gertie) in 1997, and sister Jeanine (Clancy) McKay in 2007. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews and remembered by teaching colleagues and friends. A Prayer Service was held at 7:30 PM, on Friday, September 3, 2010 at St. Mchael's Catholic Church, Pincher Creek, with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 A.M., on Saturday, September 4th, 2010, with Father Steve Smith, Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Canadian Arthritis Association at 200, 1301 8th St S.W. Calgary, AB, T2R 1B7 or a charity of your choice.
