Description	:	Emory Lacox, youngest child of John Reuben Lacock and Amanda McMillen, was born at Nodaway, Iowa November 23, 1893 to John Reuben Lacox and Amanda McMillen and passed away suddenly July 22, 1957. He grew to manhood on the home place 1 1/2 miles southeast of Nodaway and spent his entire life there. He was engaged in farming until the past two years. Read More	Emory Lacox, youngest child of John Reuben Lacock and Amanda McMillen, was born at Nodaway, Iowa November 23, 1893 to John Reuben Lacox and Amanda McMillen and passed away suddenly July 22, 1957. He grew to manhood on the home place 1 1/2 miles southeast of Nodaway and spent his entire life there. He was engaged in farming until the past two years. During that time he was employed for the Iowa School of the Deaf. His parents, also five brothers and two sisters, namely, William, Elver, Albert, Thomas, John, Myrtle, and Nora all preceded him in death. He was married on October 5, 1916 to Ferris Bicker and to this union two children were born, Mrs. Mary Palmer of Hawaii and Rex at home. Besides his wife and children he is survived by two little granchildren, Patsy and Edie Palmer, also a sister, Mrs.Bowman, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. His sunny disposition and williness at all times to help his friends, neighbors, and his loved ones endeared him to all who knew him. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Nodaway on July 25, 1957 conducted by Rev. C. M. Rowe and Rev. W. L. Andre with burial in the Methodist Grove Cemetery.
