Description	:	Obituary Marshall (MI) Evening Chronicle Thursday, January 19, 1956 Frozen Body Of Homer Man Found ---HOMER -- The frozen body of Ferris Weber Rising, 76, who had been missing since Saturday, was found in French's Grove on the northeast shore of the mill pond Wednesday about 1 p. m. by Donald Ballentine. ---Both Mr. Rising's wrists were slashed and a blood-covered jack-knife was found in his pocket. Most of his life was spent in Homer, where for many years he operated a blacksmith shop. ---Surviving are two brothers, Geo. Rising of Cucamonga, Calif., and Elmo Rising of Brnson; three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Keyes of Bronson, Mrs. Verne Sweek of Vandercook Lake and Mrs. Ernest Vetter of Ontario, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews. ---Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p. m. from the Westbrook funeral home with Dr. J. C. Shull of the Presbyterian church officiating.
