They had been assisted in moving by Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Johnson and before they were settled the whole family, thirteen in all came down with influenza. Black diptheria developed, from which Mr. Hutchinson died on Sunday. Another member of the family went insane and Sheriff Krause was asked to come and take the patient to Independence. Along with the persons named in the article the three children of Amos and Flora and four children of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Johnson were affected.
