Description	:	The community was saddened Tuesday by the news of the death of Mrs. Flora Findling, wife of Ed Findling, west of Tipton in the Independence neighborhood, her death taking place at one o'clock in the afternoon. Death resulted from diabetes. Her death was not unexpected as it was known Saturday that her condition was critical. No funeral arrangements have been completed. Death resulted from diabetes. Her death was not unexpected as it was known Saturday that her condition was critical. No funeral arrangements have been completed. Mrs. Findling, who was one of the well known and beloved women of the community, had not been in good health for several years as she had been suffering with a nervous trouble, but had been much improved for the last several months. She became very ill Saturday and her illness at once assumed a critical nature and little hope was held out for her recovery. Mrs. Findling, whose maiden name was Flora Trautman, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Trautman and was born in Decatur county, August 21, 1867. With her parents she came to Tipton county in 1881, the family buying and settling on the Trautman farm just west of the city now occupied by Mrs. Trautman. December 31, 1896, she was married to Edward Findling, and they went at once to housekeeping on their farm near Independence. One daughter, Bertha May, was born to their union. The husband and daughter, now nine years old, survive. She is also survived by her mother and six sisters, Mrs. Herbert Findling, Mrs. Henry Michel, Mrs. Perry Ramsey, Mrs. Walter Molden and Misses Madera and Tillie Trautman, at home. For many years her membership was with the Wesley Chapel congregation which later merged with the Kemp M.E. Church. She was always active in the church departments. Her life has been one of loving service to family, church and friends and neighbors and she will be greatly missed.
