Description	:	Flora Madge Daggs, 87, of Memphis, MO, died January 3, 2002, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. Madge, the daughter of Alonzo C. and Ida Bell Nelson Jones, was born March 9, 1914, in Scotland County, MO. She graduated from Granger High School, Granger, MO with the class of 1932. On September 11, 1935, she was united in marriage to Robert Harold Daggs of Keokuk, IA, in a double wedding ceremony with high school classmates Edward and Ila French Struble. Madge, the daughter of Alonzo C. and Ida Bell Nelson Jones, was born March 9, 1914, in Scotland County, MO. She graduated from Granger High School, Granger, MO with the class of 1932. On September 11, 1935, she was united in marriage to Robert Harold Daggs of Keokuk, IA, in a double wedding ceremony with high school classmates Edward and Ila French Struble. They had two children Larry and Kay. Madge and Bud, life-long farmers and cattle producers, lived on a farm north of Arbela, MO for 64 years. Bud and Madge celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on September 11, 1999. On June 24, 1999, they semi-retired and moved to Memphis, MO. At an early age Madge joined the Granger Methodist Church and after her marriage she moved her membership to Mt. Moriah where she was active in the Ladies Aid until moving to Memphis, MO. Madge quilted many lovely quilts, which she shared lovingly with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters and five brothers. Survivors include her son, Larry Daggs and wife, Jean of Montrose, IA; her daughter, Kay Eggleston and husband, Kenneth of Arbela, MO; seven grandchildren, Kelley Ketchum, Stephaine Althoz, Mark McClamroch, Melody Gunn, Wyatt McClamroch, Hollie Dockum and Kristy Eggleston-Wood; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hilda Davis of Quincy, IL and Reva Nelson of Keokuk, IA; a brother-in-law, Marion Daggs and wife, Clarabell of Memphis, MO; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Phil and Maxine Struble of Memphis, MO. The family has suggested memorials to The Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Funeral services were held January 7, 2002, at the Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis, MO with Rev. Bob Payne and Rev. Iris Kerr officiating. The soloist was LaMayra Brown and the organist was Connie Courtney. Active body bearers were Wayne Durham, Mike Aylward, J.D. Nelson, Warren Miller, Dick Stevenson and Vaughn Biggs. Honorary bearers were Don Miller, D.V.M., Walter Kasiske, M.D., Harley Erickson, Phil Struble, Noel Barker, and Gene Durham. Interment was in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery in rural Scotland County, north of Arbela, MO. Payne Funeral Chapel of Memphis, MO was in charge of arrangements. Memphis Democrat, January 10, 2002
